What is Live-Remote Training?

Perhaps the best way to describe this is that it is real-time training carried out over the Internet, which is conducted by a live Trainer, normally the exact same Trainer who would conduct an In-Class course using all the same programs and forensic images used in that environment.

In the past this type of training was frowned upon, with companies and students considering it to be inferior to the in-person training. But over the years this attitude has changed, and this is due to many factors, perhaps the main ones being the pandemic and the advancements in technology. When you add to this the need for companies to be more cost efficient you can see why this type of training is becoming increasingly popular.

But aside from those factors there are many additional benefits to both companies and students

Worldwide Participation

With In-Class training demographics can be restricted, with classes generally being filled by individuals within a relatively close range but with the advent of Live-Remote training students can participate from anywhere in the world. This gives dual benefits to both the training provider and to the participating student. Given the need for companies to streamline their operations whilst at the same time retain and train staff the advent of an online platform where students can participant from within the home or the office reduces time away from work and also cuts down on additional costs such as travel and accommodation.

This type of training has also enabled companies such as ours to open up a global market and at the same time minimize the effect of increased costs in travel and accommodation for the trainers, which in turn enables us to pass these benefits onto the customer in the way of reducing price increases on our courses, something we here at Spyder Forensics try to keep to a minimum as we fully understand the pressures on both Companies and Students..

Student Engagement

Live online sessions also give the participating student the ability to immediately put into practice some of the theories learnt that day. We have found that many students use the evening to practice learnt skills and bring them to the class the following day.  One of the greatest challenges of any class is the transition from theory into practice and what we have found is that this happens more robustly in a Live-Remote class.

One of the additional benefits of this style of training is the level of student engaement.

In an ideal world all of the participants would feel comfortable asking questions of the Instructor but in practice many are put off by the idea that somehow their peers would look down on the skills if they ask a technical question. In a Live-Remote class the student can ask the Instructor a question in Private Chat and know that this would be between them and the Instructor, this makes all parties feel more comfortable.

It should also be remembered that from an Instructors perspective he is able to see at all times how the student is performing in Lab scenarios and is able to guage if individuals need additional assistance.

Spyder Forensics Live-Remote Training

Here at Spyder Forensics we have embraced what we call Live-Remote Training and now find that this type of training has proven to be one of our most popular methods. But what sets our training apart from others.

Our Live-Remote Training is conducted by the same instructor who presents the In-Class Training using exactly the same material and provides the student with links to download all of the course material. The instructor is, in many cases the same person who developed the material that is used on the course. This means that irrespective of attending a live class or a remote class the students get exactly the same training.

We also have a custom setup that includes all machines used in class and these are tested and updated on a regular basis.
